A new project is now taking shape at Arqreation: a fully sculpted Chinese chess set .
Instead of treating the set as simple game tokens, this design reimagines each piece as a miniature character or monument, with figures such as the ruler, court lady, warrior, dragon, and tower modeled as collectible sculptures.
The goal behind this set was to give Xiangqi a stronger visual identity through forms that feel ceremonial, historical, and display-worthy.
Every piece was designed with layered costume details, engraved bases, and a more narrative silhouette so the full board can read not only as a strategy game, but also as a decorative sculptural ensemble.
This model is ideal for collectors, 3D printing enthusiasts, digital art buyers, and anyone looking for a more artistic interpretation of traditional Chinese chess.
It works well as a printable set, a render subject, or the starting point for custom painting and presentation projects.
